Succession Management 

The tight labour market and changing demographics are taking a toll on the ability of organisations to attract and retain employees. A key impact of this new reality is a shrinking pool of available leadership talent.

The CIPD's Recruitment, Retention and Turnover 2005 survey showed that more than 80% of organisations were experiencing difficulties in recruiting new employees.  Organisations therefore need to think carefully about how to develop, and retain, their existing employees to fill key roles in the future.

Succession Management is often used to describe the short term resourcing of senior executives and high performers.  In its broadest sense however, Succession Management is the identification, development and retention of talent for key future roles within the organisation. 

We work with organisations to assist them in identifying a pool of people capable of filling future senior roles in the short term.  We also assist organisations with longer term objectives focussing on the early identification, development and retention of talent lower down the organisation through the creation of critical talent pools for all key roles in the future.
